About Sam Cohen
Sam is a second generation woodworker. He grew up working in his father’s cabinet shop, Cato Woodworks, in Davenport, IA. In 2017 he continued his education and refined his skills working for Don Stumbo at Stumbo Wood Products. In 2023 he took over Don’s shop and is continuing the legacy of excellent craftsmanship and timeless work produced in Iowa City. In 2024 Sam’s father, Jack Cohen, moved to Iowa City to support Cottonwood Cabinetry and contribute his wealth of experience. Sam lives in Iowa City with his fiancee Audrey who runs the Bike Library. Outside of woodwork Sam enjoys cycling, cooking, and riding motorcycles.
